Bru is now an integral part of our mini aussie pack thanks to Melissa Zobell of Moonbaby mini aussies. Bru was a shy country girl when she came to us but has blossomed into one of our welcoming committee and is a great house dog and loves to babysit the weaned doxie pups. She was bred to Knite Ryder the week of December 12th so should have puppies February 13th, 2012. We should get all colors and sizes so keep watching for puppy pictures.
 
 

Rim Fire Smilie, ASDR, is five years old and approximately 11 ½” tall so she is a toy but a beautiful headed, good boned, chunky little girl. She is a wonderful addition to our family of mini aussie’s.

She is 18” tall and was supposed to be a mini- Australian Shepherd but she grew taller than both of her parents so she is the tallest that a mini can be. We then purchased a blue merle male for her, he is only 14” tall and is full grown. We had one terrific litter from Blue before we lost him, so we had to breed Fender to outside males after that. She has had a total of three litters now and will only have one or two more before we spay her. We have gotten another blue merle boy and have to wait for him to grow up so Fender won’t have pups until later this year or beginning of next year.

AP Ranch Ditto is Fender’s daughter by Ruhlin’s Nickie, she looks exactly like a smaller version of her mother, hence the name Ditto. She is only 16” tall and about 25 lbs. and full of energy. This dog loves life and is always on the go with her mother and half brother Rusty. They have the run of our 24 acre ranch and they hunt rabbits and squirrels or play tag on the hay stack. She can jump high and is very fast, I should be doing agility classes with her. Her temperament is wonderful, she is good with puppies, other dogs and loves children, she is even good with my little doxies.

Matilda aka Tilly is now full grown and is definitely my dog, she is a little doll at just under 14” . She has the herding instinct pretty strongly and wants to heal everything. The other dogs really don’t like to be healed so she gets disciplined a lot from them and from me and she is learning that it is not appropriate. She is also a little shy which, I feel is not enough socialization as a puppy, prior to me getting her. We are working on that a lot, so hope she will get over that soon. She is especially shy of men but loves children, her previous owner had children and her husband worked out of town so Tilly probably didn’t see him much.

Dogs that are listed as NSDR are also registered with ASDR, soon they will all be registered with MASCA also.

On the genetic testing, if it says “N” it means normal, if it says “M” it mean they are carrying one Mutant gene and can pass it on to their offspring.  In the case of MDR1 you can avoid problems by following the list that will be provided by the breeder and also showing it to your veterinarian so your puppy will not get the offending medication.  Otherwise MDR1 does not affect their health.

The CERF is done yearly and is to check their eyes for any abnormalities.

The OFA for hips cannot be done if the dog is under two years of age and cannot be done if the female is in heat or pregnant.

The dogs who’s birth dates are not listed is because I recently purchased them and haven’t gotten their papers yet.

The ones that say PENDING means I’m either waiting for results or have ordered the kits and are waiting to get them.

I try to keep the price of my puppies affordable and I want to produce puppies that are free of serious genetic defects.  The testing is costly and time consuming but be assured that for the price you pay you are getting some of the best puppies on the market today.  All this testing makes it easy for me to guarantee my puppies and leaves you with the peace of mind that you will not have a defective adult mini aussie down the road a few years.
